(The Gear Loop) - Shokz, formerly known as AfterShokz, has revealed a smaller, more compact version of its range-topping OpenRun Pro that has been specially designed to fit smaller heads.

The band in the Mini version has been reduced by 0.83-inches (or around 2cm), which creates a more snug fit for those who previously thought the band on the original let them down, bouncing around when exercising.

-

The shrinking only applies to the band, as the same technology still applies here, including the ninth generation of the brand’s bone conduction technology, a ten hour battery life, rapid one hour charge time and IP55 rated sweat and water-resistance.

The slightly cheaper OpenRun model, which has a slightly reduced battery life and the previous generation bone conduction technology comes with IP67 waterproof rating, which makes it good for most activities bar submersion in a pool when swimming.

Priced at £159.95, the Mini version doesn’t command a price premium but colours are limited to black or beige, as opposed to blue and pink options also available in the standard size model.
