(The Gear Loop) - Canyon has revealed an updated version of its Exceed CFR LTD cross-country bike.
Sitting at the very top of Canyon's cross-country range, the Exceed CFR LTD has been designed to be both light and aggressive.
With that in mind, the fim turned to Toray M40X carbon fibre for most of the frame, which makes it incredibly strong but featherweight. Canyon says the Exceed CFR LTD weighs in at just 835g in medium size. That represents a considerable saving over the regular Exceed CF, which tips the scales at 1,312g.
One of the standout additions to the new Exceed CFR LTD is DT Swiss’ latest XRC 1200 wheelset. They incorporate wide 30mm carbon rims and Canyon says that they set a "new standard in terms of lightness, efficiency and stiffness".
SRAM gearing is used across the board, with XX Eagle AXS wireless shifting, XX Dub 1x12 carbon cranks and Level Ultimate two-piston brakes, all incorporated into the Exceed CFR LTD’s design. Punters also get a 100mm RockShox SID SL Ultimate front fork.
All versions come with a Selle Italia SLR Boost Carbon saddle from the off, coupled with a Canyon SP059 lightweight seatpost that has been designed to take the edge off the very worst vibrations and shocks, giving the bike a more comfortable and predictable ride in the process.
All bikes are finished in a new CFR Green colour scheme, while prices start from £6,949. It’s available to order now, too.
