(The Gear Loop) - Rapha returns with its annual event in support of female riders across the globe and it plans to go big to mark a decade of uplifting the sport’s female contingent.

The cycling apparel company says that it doesn’t matter whether you’re a first-time rider or returning for your tenth year, the W100 is all about celebrating women in cycling and going the distance, together.

With that in mind, Rapha is challenging all female cyclists to ride 100km in one day, with rides happening across the globe on Sunday September 18, 2022.

The aim is to get 100,000 people taking part this year and the website already has details of rides that are taking place in London, Berlin, Munich, Manchester, Mallorca and Amsterdam. There are 10 rides taking place in the USA, while Australia, China, Japana and South Korea will also host events.

To celebrate the launch of this global event and the anniversary, Rapha has created two special edition W100 collections, of which further details will be launched in August.
