(The Gear Loop) - We have featured Selk'bag on these very pages before, namely in our best family sleeping bags buying guide, but the beguiling brand is back with a new range of wearable sleeping bags for kids.

Unlike a traditional "mummy" sleeping bag, Selk'bag's line-up consists of sleeping solutions that you can physically wear and can romp around in. Adults, admittedly, look a bit daft, but there's no denying they keep you warm and toasty from beside the bonfire and into bed. Or, judging by the escalating cost of living, when sat in front of the TV with the heating switched off.

The new Selk'bag Kids range is made out of 100 per cent post-consumer recycled materials and offers the same performance and features as the adult products.

In terms of eco-credentials, every little person's product pairs 100 per cent recycled polyester face fabric and lining with 100 per cent recycled 150g of hollow fibre insulation for great warmth at campsites or other outdoor locations

The main zip and other components are also fully recycled. Following the successful formula of the adult Selk'bags, neat features include: an adjustable insulated hood, a two-way front zip for easy entry, a generous kangaroo pocket, elasticated no-hassle openings allow hands to be brought in and out of the bag quickly and easily, durable, removable booties that can also be worn on their own and a stuff sac for when not in use, which has straps so it can easily be carried as a mini-rucksack by a youngster.

It is available in two wild colours and comes in two sizes - medium for kids seven to nine and large for ages 10 to 13 years. Both cost £79.99 and are available now from the Selk'bag website.
